Honoring the Life and Legacy of Missi Boyer P’16, P’18

September 16, 2025

Forman School remembers Missi Boyer P’16, P’18, who passed away in August following a brave battle with cancer. Missi was an integral part of the Forman community for 28 years, serving as a Cognition and Learning Teacher, Director of Town Funding, and, previously, Science Department Chair. Throughout her tenure, she was an outstanding educator, houseparent, and advisor, and made a lasting impact on so many.

“Missi’s passion for education, and especially for the Forman students whom she admired and cared for so deeply, was evident in all that she did,” shared Head of School Amy Clemons. “Forman is better for her dedication to the school and the students she loved so much.”

The Forman community came together on September 7th to honor Missi’s memory at the 12th annual Litchfield T.E.A.L. Walk for Ovarian Cancer. It was a meaningful way for students and colleagues to support an important cause.
