Two Forman students, Karissa Huang ’24 and Hayden Senst ’24, attended Kent School’s Community Life Summit on February 11th. At the summit, Karissa represented the Diverse Voices and Views Club and delivered a presentation on Forman School and Neurodiversity.
“In many conversations surrounding diversity, neurodiversity can sometimes be overlooked as it is not something you can often identify visually,” said Arlis Astudillo, Mathematics Chair and Facilitator of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. “I was happy to see Karissa present this topic at the summit.”
Other presentations covered topics in equity, inclusion, and diversity; community service; social justice; wellness; LGBTQIA+; and environmental sustainability.
Forman was one of nine boarding schools in attendance.
