Forman Students Give Back to Local Community

October 16, 2025

Forman School students have been busy making a difference in the local community.

From handing out popcorn and cookies at a local PTO movie night to volunteering at the annual fundraiser for Charlotte Hungerford Hospital's Pink Rose Fund, our students have demonstrated their commitment to community service. This year’s Pink Rose Fund event raised over $30,000 to benefit patients and families affected by breast cancer.

A special shoutout goes to Lion’s Den Bistro Chef Reaves and Jessica Berg ’27, who created delicious appetizers for the fundraiser, and to all the students who helped with decorations, serving, and cleanup.

“I heard nothing but amazing compliments from everyone I spoke with,” shared Mathematics Teacher and Community Service Coordinator Jennifer Duncan. “It was a proud day for our community.”

At Forman, students are required to complete 15 hours of community service each year, though many go above and beyond. Students exemplify our core values of Truth, Respect, and Kindness through their dedication and service.
