November 15, 2023

The Forman Ensemble Players presented the fall play, Let’s Murder Marsha, in the Visual and Performing Arts Center Jake Cloobeck ’16 Theater on November 8th-10th.

The play’s description reads, in part, “A happy housewife named Marsha, hopelessly addicted to reading murder mysteries, overhears her loving husband discussing her upcoming birthday surprise with an interior decorator. To her ears, though, it sounds like they are planning to murder her!”

The following is a list of the cast:

  • Jorie Welshans ’24 as Marsha Gilmore

  • Karissa Huang ’24 as Bianca

  • Penelope Jackson ’24 as Persis Devore

  • Anders Domke ’24 as Tobias Gilmore

  • Julian Graziano ’25 as Virgil Baxter

  • Jess Martin ’24 as Lynette Thoren

  • Qeiva Grant ’25 as Pen Quade

  • Gianna Lovallo ’25 as the Persis Understudy

  • Cecily Cooper ’26 as the Lynette Understudy

  • Ava Gillies ’27 as the Pen Understudy

“The students were so invested in the show right from the beginning, and this is the reason why it was such a success!” says Arts Teacher Tammy Grella, who directed the play. “They had such great chemistry together as a group, and the whole process was really quite wonderful. I couldn’t be more proud of them and of the show they worked so hard to present.”

Lily Chen, Chair of the Thinking and Writing Department, managed the play’s costumes. Abby Everett ’24 was the Stage Manager, and Cecily Cooper ’26, Gianna Lovallo ’25, and Ava Gillies ’27 were the Assistant Stage Managers.

“Congratulations, and thank you to the talented cast and crew of the fall production of Let’s Murder Marsha,” said Director of Counseling Charlene Halloran P’05, P’07. “Fun, funny, and thoroughly enjoyable!”

The winter musical, Into the Woods, will be presented in February.
