Forman School alumnus Patrick Taiwo ’20 recently marked an incredible achievement. While studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Patrick was selected as the winner of a prestigious design challenge led by renowned jeweler James de Givenchy, founder of Taffin.
Over the course of four months, Patrick collaborated with de Givenchy to bring his original earring design to life. The final piece was handcrafted with 53 carats of white topaz set in 18-karat white gold and black ceramic, and was featured in Sotheby’s Fine Jewelry auction in New York.
The stunning earrings sold for over $27,000, far exceeding the initial estimate of $5,000-$10,000.
Congratulations, Patrick!
