Artwork submissions by Lorca Danziger ’24, Llewelyn Davis ’27, and Olivia De Sanctis ’26 have been accepted into the Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards 2024 Exhibit. Notably, Lorca earned a silver key for his piece titled “Inherited Awareness” and a gold key for “Inspirational Spectrum,” both in the Film & Animation category. Llewelyn’s work titled “Bolan” in the Drawing and Illustration category, as well as Olivia’s piece titled “Untitled” in the Photography category, received honorable mentions.
“The Scholastic Art Awards submissions generated a lot of excitement in the Arts Department,” said Erin Gleason, Arts Department Chair. “To have work accepted into the Scholastic Show is an incredible honor. We value the commitment our students have to making their art and speaking their stories through the projects.”
The students’ art is displayed at the Hartford Art School Silpe Gallery through February 2nd. Click here for more details.
“Visiting the show installation and seeing the works by Llewelyn, Olivia, and Lorca on display was a magical experience,” Gleason said.
